Having moved the existing home office from the current attic space to a purpose built garden room, the client wanted to repurpose the loft for an additional bedroom space with ensuite and walk in wardrobe. The brief was simple, to design a loft extension that didn't look like like your traditional dormer and to focus on quality architecture. There was the practical need to re-purpose much of the existing space to maximise storage as well as creating habitable space that matched the proportions of the rest of the property.
David Machell Architecture services for the project included submission of a Proposed Lawful Development Certificate and liaising with Sefton Council.
